Greetings to my new Triumph family!

Took a little ride down the hill yesterday for AZ Bike Week. The only reason I showed up was to take a sneak peek at the new Tbird. I was getting ready to put pen to paper on a friends '04 Goldwing, when I heard the Tbird had flown
into the desert for all to see.
After speaking with Stephen at length over this steel stallion, my pen was quickly disassembled and thrown away in varying locations, so I would NOT sign the papers. Especially when Stephen told me Triumph would be introducing over 100 after market accessories germane to the Thunderbird.
Wearing bifocals, I had a worry that the clock was mounted on the tank, instead of the handlebars. After sitting on the bike, I quickly saw the clock was well-thought out and placed. Just a quick glance with my eyes, and there it is. Don't have to lower my head to see the gauges (like the V-Star), which freaked me out pretty good.
I also liked the high clearance of the undercarriage, which means no metal scraping on Hwy 191 between Morenci / Alpine; Oak Creek Canyon; Mingus Mtn; well, you get the idea.
Can't wait until June when these scooters show up, think I'll go out buy a brand new pen for this upcoming Thunderbird adoption ceremony.
Gee, wonder if I'm excited over FINALLY replacing my 2001 Thunderbird?
